Waxahachie Community Theatre announces open auditions for the upcoming production of “Fiddler On The Roof.” Auditions for ages 8 and up will be held on August 9-10 at 7 PM at the First United Methodist Church (600 Daubitz Drive) in Red Oak. Callbacks will be Thursday, August 12, at 7 PM at the same location. Kasi Jones will direct the show with Randy Preston as the music director. They will be conducting the auditions and callbacks along with show choreographer, Jana Scribner.
Rehearsals will begin Monday, August 23, at the Methodist Church. Show dates are October 22-24, 2010, at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium in Waxahachie.
Prepare at least 16 bars of a song that showcases your vocal range and strength. Bring sheet music for the accompanist who will be present. You may also bring your own accompanist or sing with a sound track – bring your own electronic equipment. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for a dance audition.
