WCT Executive Director, Kasi Jones

Kasi Jones joined Waxahachie Community Theatre in 1999 when she played Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady.  Since then, Kasi has been on stage in many other shows with WCT, including Lil Abner, Hello Dolly, Annie Get Your Gun, The Sound of Music, GI Jukebox, and Red, White and Broadway.  Kasi was the music director and played keyboard for The Music Man, Lil Abner, and The King and I.  Her directing debut came in 2009 when she directed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Don’t Kick the Turkeys and Oliver! 

Kasi became a member of the WCT Board of Directors in 2008 and has served the past two years as Vice Chairman of the board.  In her life outside WCT, Kasi is a proposal writer and editor at Triumph Aerostructures — Vought Aircraft Division in Dallas and the choir director at Crossroads of Life Assembly of God in Duncanville.  She has also been drama director at the church where she directed the full-length passion play, Messiah; the Christmas show, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and many other smaller productions. 

The Jones Family L to R:  Donovan, Cameron, Kasi, Kristen, Don, Davin, BradyKasi says that her greatest accomplishments thus far in life are being wife to Don; mother of Donovan, Brady and Cameron; mother-in-law of Kristen; and “Kama” to grandson, Davin.  Kasi says, “I thank God and my family for their unconditional love and support.  I honor my mother’s words to me when she said, ‘You can do anything you put your mind to.’ ”

In her spare time (?) Kasi enjoys crocheting, swimming, reading, and going to — where else — the theatre!
